Hello, My name is Terrel R. Davis, president/director of The Triangle Institute, Inc. in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
Pastor Larry Hultquist and I started The Triangle Institute in 2004 to encourage culture, research and education in southwest Wyoming. We wanted a sort of mini-university, encouraging academic atomasphere in our community - based on the triangle, both theoretically and physically (our office is downtown - on the triangle). However, since that day Larry has gone to his reward, at least he is out of pain. I am left to carry the ball.
The education was ostensibly to encourage the teaching of qualitative mathematics or qualitative dynamics, a modern perspective on Pythagoras' sacred numbers. It is an interesting way of looking at the creation, beatitudes, and other ancient records. What has happened so far was the Western Wyoming Wind and Solar Conference in march of 2009. Excellent conference, attended by 30 electricians, engineers and electrical inspectors at the new South Lincoln Training and Events Center.
Research wise I have an interest in social anthropology and would like to develop that through the institute. There is a strange off-white deposit on many of the smooth stones throughout the area. It raises a question (are they remnants of "stucco" buildings? A building technique? Is it found in other areas? My initial research says "YES!" even as far away as the Sinai desert. Is there animal (Hydrocarbon) residue such as egg albumin in this deposit? Can we date it? What does this mean if we find it in diverse areas? This social-anthropological phenomenon could do more that support that mining of coal was done in this area by pre-columbian man - but it would also do that. Do you find rounded stones with white residue on one side in the backlots of your area? Maybe you can participate in this research.
That is what the Triangle Institute is about.
